Avonlea Birthday Cards

Sorry it has been so long posting, I have still been making cards for Church Family Birthdays and Anniversaries, but life is a little more busy than usual.  Here is a card I made using the CTMH Avonlea card kit.  It is an A2 card that came in the kit along with the ribbon.  The blue flowers are CTMH Bouguet Assortment.

I stamped the inside with CTMH slate ink and Perfect Fit Birthday B1470.

New Cards Mostly CTMH also Create A Critter

Who says that guys don't like cards?

I have been making cards for my husband to take to work for his co-workers.  Life has been hectic with my allergies and now my daughter is in the hospital again (pregnancy related) I am so glad that I can be with her while her hubby is working, homeschooling works out great although the public school is out Bubba is doing school work (we home school year round) so we can take time off and play with the new addition to our family hopefully in September).  Okay back from the rabbit trail, one of my dh co-workers had a health scare but it looks like it is not as serious as first expected and he 'requested' a card ( I love that they like my cards so much!)  it is a regular A2 Card I cut a hippo from Create A Critter with all his layers and accessories on the inside I stamped "U R  OK"  .  I cut the hippo from white card stock from CTMH and used the Slate alcohol markers to color him in, for the water I used Pacifica alcohol markers and then liquid glass to make it shinny. The "Hip Hip HOORAY..." is CTMH stamp Card Chatter—Birthday D1475

I made two of these cards for two birthday we "frog-got".  The frog is cut from Create A Critter plus all his extra ( I used googly eyes for these and the hippo)  I used CTMH "Dotty For You" paper from last year and white daisy for the banner that says "Sorry I frog-got" from My Pink Stamper, the inside stamp is from CTMH "I'm just extending the celebration" stamp also from Card Chatter - Birthday stamp set.

This card is made with some extra paper I stamped this with CTMH "Perfect Day" stamp set.  This is for one of the guys at our church.

This is a birthday card I made for my step daughter.

I made two of these for family members that graduated this year.

This is the May stamp of the month stamp set stamped in cotton candy ink and "Celebrate" is stamped in Chocolate.  This is a birthday card for one of the young ladies at church.

This is an Anniversary card I made for my wonderful parents, I used Peachy Keen face stamps for my hearts ( I just love their stamps too!)  and more extra paper from my stash.

This is a birthday card I made for my wonderful mom, I used CTMH Avonlea paper for card from and also bow (it is cut from CTMH Artiste cartridge love this cartridge)

I worked on these from 6:30 to 10:00 this morning, then we organized our classroom, next I need to work on my craftroom but that can wait for another day, week, month or even year.

Hope you enjoyed!

Nook HD+ problem solved

I have had trouble with my Nook HD+ trying to download files and pictures from my computer to my Nook. I have talked with Nook support and no help, had countless people checking out my computer. My computer would not get passed the "download" screen. It showed up on my computer as MTP driver not found could not update. But guess what!!!!! It was so simple, I searched the internet for solutions from uninstall all drivers, to it was the cable. Nope! On the Nook HD+ itself, go to your settings; storage management; Media devise was checked (MTP); I chose to check Camera (PTP). Guess what, it now shows up as a storage devise!!!!!! Now I have downloaded all of our unit studies so now we can school where ever we are!!!!! I am super excited!

Dakota paper and Rugged Dude Stamp

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, we have been doing a lot in school.  We are doing unit studies this year, so we are reading a lot of great books!  I don't know who is having more fun me or Jr.  We will post updated train layout later.

So now for this post.  I am making cards for our Church Family, but silly me keeps forgetting to take a picture and post them.  Oh well.

I used CTMH Dakota Paper and Rugged Dudge Stamp.  The ink I used was Indian Corn Blue.  I just loved the way it all turned out.

Have I mentioned how much I love CTMH.  I have a hard time with colors.  For those of you who can look at a color and know what it is, you are lucky.  I am not as color-blind as my Dad, but I have always needed help knowing if what I put together matched.  Well, thanks CTMH, on their paper packs it tells you what colors are in it; so now all I have to do is go to my ink tower and look up that color and I look like I know what I am doing.  I think that is why I have had so much fun making cards for people now!  My next adventure is to get 30 years worth of pictures scrapbooked.  Wish me luck!
